Safest Honda and Acura Vehicles for 2008

Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has recently released its list of Top Safety Pick awardees for 2008. A total of seven Honda and Acura models earned the title, including the all-new 2008 Honda Accord.

The Top Safety Pick award recognizes vehicles that perform best in providing protection to passengers in the front, side and rear crash test evaluations of the IIHS. The test only considers the vehicles equipped with electronic stability control (named as Vehicle Stability Assist on Honda and Acura vehicles) and head protection airbags. Continue reading

Jaguar XK receives ‘Most Stylish’ award

The Jaguar XK coupe has scooped the ‘Most Stylish’ honour at the first CarBuyer Awards. The award which was presented at the Geneva Motor Show by Motoring and Digital Editor Dan Strong, was collected by Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar Cars and Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar Cars.

Motoring and Digital Editor, Dan Strong commented: “From its E-type inspired nose to its muscular rear end, the Jaguar XK is everything a British sportscar should be. It is beautiful to look at and extremely well proportioned. But that’s not the only reason for our accolade. The latest Jaguar XK for sale which was styled by a team led by Ian Callum, combines elegant, cohesive styling with advanced aluminium construction and effortless performance to create a coupe that continues to outperform its market.

Subaru Parts: Continuously Innovating

When Japanese cars finally entered the automotive market of the USA in the 1960′s, several other brands tried and succeeded in the land of the brave. During this year that Subaru, a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industry (FHI) of Japan, started its distribution in the US. Despite the unstable distribution of investments, the company still managed to produce high-end cars and Subaru parts. Today, there are already 10 cars that the FHI subsidiary had produced in the US markets. Nissan, Toyota and GM are the three big companies that have taken part in the stock investment of the FHI thus, partly having connection with Subaru automobiles. In 2006, Toyota bought the share of GM in the FHI prompting Toyota to build an assembly line for both Subaru and Toyota Camry in Indiana.

Subaru proudly advertises its advantages over other car brands. In one of its advertisements, it has stated a general yet distinct attribute of the company and their products. Boasting its Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive design in all of its models and the outstanding safety it fosters, Subaru has paved new possibilities that clients would certainly grab.
